Water Purification
A handful of salt can purify up to 55 gallons of water per minute, off of a car battery. That's enough for 10,000 people per day. At a cost of $2500.
The process draws a community together in the process of gathering, purifying and dispensing the water. And the children can be involved through a clean container exchange program, using the bleach by-product from the purification process.
