ODW Partnership: | Clean Water Grant Full Grant: $12,418
ODW's grant to Haritika funded their project to bring safe drinking water and improved sanitation to the village of Shaipura in Madhya Pradesh, India. Haritika's project provided relief to Shaipura's water crisis by drilling for a new water source that filled a 40,000 liter elevated water reservoir that brings water directly to the 89 homes. Haritika is also developing more sustainable water recharges to keep the reservoir at peak production levels. Haritika also holds educational seminars in the community on proper sanitation and hygiene, which are essential components in any water security project. |
