Today, we're excited to officially “Kick Off” the launch of our Global Street Team! In a short amount of time, ODW has made some amazing strides but for us to make the impact we truly want to make towards ending extreme global poverty, we need you.
We're not asking for your donations; We're simply asking for YOU – and your time, passion, commitment, connections, and creativity – as part of our “Global Street Team.”
What is the ODW Global Street Team?
The One Day’s Wages Global Street Team (GST) is an integral part of our growth and movement as an organization. Street Team members will represent One Day’s Wages in their local communities, cities, and countries. They will equip themselves with resources and knowledge about our organization and movement, issues of global poverty and will seek to educate their local communities, as well. As representatives of One Day’s Wages, they will invite others to join the movement of fighting extreme global poverty also.
In addition, ODW GST members are one of the primary ways that we'll be launching new goals and initiatives.
Global Street Team Member Actions:
- Gain knowledge and awareness of issues surrounding poverty and injustice. Learn to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves and opportunity to collaborate with others who are doing the same.
- Quarterly meeting attendance (conference call).
- Throw at least one fundraiser on behalf of One Day’s Wages.
- Promote ODW through social media: facebook, twitter, etc.
- Recruitment of 2 additional Street Team members.
- Mentorship of new Street Team members.
Global Street Team Benefits:
- The chance to work with dynamic, passionate team of students, young professionals, academics, faith communities, business owners, retirees, and many more who are all working together to alleviate extreme global poverty.

While ODW itself is a new organization, we hope to inspire, gather, and empower hundreds of members in our Global Street Team throughout the world.
