COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

We are looking for a passionate, organized person to help grow this movement through partnerships and collaboration. The Community Engagement Coordinator will reach out to potential community partners, generate excitement around fundraising campaigns, and represent ODW at any Seattle-area events.


 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate birthday and other fundraising campaigns
  • Support donor and partner appreciation initiatives
  • Research and connect with potential partners including local businesses, schools, and faith groups
  • Create engaging content for social media
  • Assist in brainstorming key annual campaign strategies
  • Assist with Annual Gala logistics
  • Send and respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Represent ODW at Seattle-area events
  • Complete merchandise inventory once a quarter

Required Skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Passion for helping people connect in a meaningful way to a grassroots movement
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Regularly active on multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter
  • Interest in learning how a small, globally-focused nonprofit functions day-to-day
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Details and How to Apply

  • Supervisor: Development Director
  • Duration: Six months, 12 hrs/wk (8 hrs in office, 4 hrs remote)
  • Type: Part-time, temporary
  • Location: Seattle, WA
  • Unpaid: a letter of recommendation can be provided in support of course credit
