After a difficult and dangerous journey from Syria where they had to walk many miles, Emine and her brother Roni arrived in an unfamiliar country where they had few resources, connections, or opportunities. Their hope was to pursue their education and make a new home.

Meet Tina

United States

It was hard for Tina to not feel overwhelmed by all the bad news in the world, especially about the global refugee crisis. She decided to take action by making a donation to ODW’s refugee fund, and encouraged her community to give in honor of her birthday.

Tina’s gift helped empower Emine, Roni, and other refugee children like them to attend school. Emine and Roni are both thankful that life has settled down for them. Thanks to Tina and other donors like her, they can pursue their education and follow their dreams!
