Jeremy donates one game’s wages from 2016-2017 season to empower girls
About Jeremy Lin’s Campaign
“Jeremy here from the Brooklyn Nets. I’m excited to share with you my new campaign with One Day’s Wages.
I believe it’s important to raise awareness about social justice issues that have been swept under the rug. This is why I’m coming alongside One Day’s Wages, a movement to alleviate extreme global poverty, to do my part in raising awareness about the issues many girls face in pursuing their dreams.
Millions of girls across the globe are unable to get the education they need to provide for themselves and their families. This is due to unaffordable school fees, forced child marriage, lack of sanitary products when they reach puberty, and many other barriers. My hope is to shed some light on these issues, and invite you to join me in taking action.”
One Game’s Wages
“I’ve pledged to donate “One Game’s Wages” on March 17th, 2017 to ODW’s work empowering girls. I’ll also be donating $100 for every 3-point shot I make this season.
You can join my campaign by donating $7 above, or start your own fundraising campaign.
I hope you will join me in raising awareness about girl’s empowerment. We can’t do this work alone, it will take all of us together.”
Jeremy’s generous pledge of $140,000 + 3-point shots are reflected in the progress bar above, in addition to donations from other individuals. Thank you to everyone who is supporting this campaign!
