WHY GIVE TO THE GALA?

Throughout the year, we give 100% of donations (minus processing fees) directly to projects empowering people in their contexts to fight global poverty. We raise our operating costs separately to make this possible. Our gala is our one event every year where we invite supporters of this grassroots movement to give to our operations and celebrate the impact of this work. Your generosity fuels our passionate team, working towards a more just and beautiful world.

This year, we’ll have lots of opportunities for you to join us in our gala celebration, and it’s all free. We are asking you to give a minimum of $250 or set up a $20+ monthly donation for attending these events. Giving generously to our operations helps us grow sustainably and with integrity, allowing us to invest in even more empowering projects around the world. We are so grateful for your support and partnership.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS IT REALLY FREE TO ATTEND?

Yes, our gala is free to attend. Instead of charging a ticket price, we hope each guest feels compelled to be part of our movement by financially supporting our growth. This year, we are challenging each guest to give a minimum of $250 or start a monthly donation of $20+. We acknowledge this is a hard year, and are grateful for a donation at any amount.

HOW DO I REGISTER & WHEN DOES REGISTRATION CLOSE?

You can register above for one of the options. Once registered, you’ll be automatically added to our silent auction and receive emails and texts relevant to the gala (you can always opt-out). You’ll receive a Zoom link to join the livestream. Registration will remain open until September 20th.

WHERE CAN I JOIN THE AUCTION?

We will have a silent auction online on October 3rd starting at 9 am PT. You’ll be able to bid on items via our auction website. If you register in advance, you’ll be automatically added to our online auction, where you can easily bid from your phone and can receive text notifications.

100% of the auction item donations raised go to support our operations, and the amount of your donation that exceeds the fair market value of any item(s) won will be tax-deductible.

IS THERE A GALA IN PERSON?

For the health and safety of our staff and supporters, we are once again moving our annual gala to be an all virtual event.

WHAT'S THE GALA PARTY BOX?

This year we know not everyone can come in-person, so we’re offering to send you a box if you’d like to host a small gathering at home and watch virtually together! It will come with desserts, drink kits, decor, and more. Here is a sample of the types of goodies that we’ll send you in your box. See this page for more.

WHAT'S THE GALA PACKET?

Similar to last year with some added fun, we’ll send each person (in the U.S.) who registers for the “no frills” virtual gala a packet that includes information and activities.

WHAT IF I CAN'T JOIN?

If you can’t make it online or in Seattle on October 3rd, we’d still encourage you to give towards the gala. This is the one time a year we fundraise for our operations, and every donation truly makes a difference in powering the movement. Also, we’ll be posting parts of the gala later on social media so you can tune in afterward.

HOW DO I SPONSOR THE GALA?

We’re so glad you’re interested! We would love to partner with you through a sponsorship, which is a donation used to match giving during the event. If you, your business, faith group, or other connection are interested in being a Gala Sponsor, please contact our Development Director, Jessinia. Sponsorships are recognized in our gala event materials.
